Land Rover Series 2 & 2A – Electric Power Steering (EZ Electric Power Steering) – RHD
The Land Rover Series 2 and Series 2A are among the most iconic off-road vehicles ever built. Their simple, robust engineering and timeless appeal make these models popular among collectors, restorers, and enthusiasts who still use their classic Land Rovers on a regular basis.
One characteristic that many owners notice is the heavy steering. Especially when parking, maneuvering, driving off-road, or driving with larger tires, the stock steering system requires quite a bit of steering effort.
EZ Electric Power Steering’s electric power steering makes your Land Rover Series 2 or 2A much more comfortable to drive, while fully preserving its authentic character. The assistance is particularly noticeable at low speeds, making parking and maneuvering significantly less effort. At higher speeds, the characteristic steering feel is preserved.
EZ Power Steering offers a complete solution for the Land Rover Series 2 and 2A. In addition to the electric power steering kit, you’ll also receive a new steering worm and a rebuild kit for the original steering rack. Since many steering racks show signs of wear after decades of use, this combination ensures that the entire steering system functions optimally again and remains reliable for years to come.
The Land Rover Series 2 and 2A came with different types of steering columns. For this reason, the EZ Electric Power Steering kit is available for both models with a steering nut and those with a steering clamp.
Please note: This set is for a model with a steering wheel clamp (right-hand drive). See photos.
The electric power steering is fully integrated into the original steering column. This preserves the Land Rover’s classic appearance and means there are no visible changes under the hood.
Whether you use your Land Rover for historic rallies, off-road events, long trips, or recreational purposes, with EZ Electric Power Steering you’ll enjoy greater comfort, more control, and significantly lighter steering without compromising the vehicle’s originality.
