The Volkswagen T3 Transporter, also known as the Type 2 (T3), T25 (United Kingdom), and Vanagon (North America), has become one of the most beloved classic commercial vehicles and camper vans in the world. Produced from 1979 to 1992, the T3 was the last generation of Transporters to feature the distinctive rear-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive. Thanks to its versatility, the T3 remains popular as a camper van, commercial vehicle, and hobby car.

Although the T3 is known for its ruggedness and comfortable handling, steering—especially when maneuvering, parking, or in campers with extra weight—can be quite heavy. The EZ Electric Power Steering significantly improves driving comfort without compromising the Volkswagen’s original character.

Our electric power steering system was developed specifically for the Volkswagen T3 and provides light, precise, and comfortable steering at low speeds, while maintaining the authentic steering feel at higher speeds.

The complete EZ kit is mounted entirely under the dashboard. This preserves the car’s original appearance, and nothing is visible under the hood. The existing steering system remains in place, and the conversion is fully reversible, ensuring that the Volkswagen T3 retains its originality.
